CheckUrl instructions

Description

The CheckUrl plugin for Koha runs the check-url-quick.pl script directly from the staff interface.
It allows staff to verify URLs in bibliographic records (such as 856u field) and quickly identify broken or invalid links.

The Plugin

Once installed and activated in Administration > Manage Plugins, the plugin can be run from the Plugins table.

  • The home page displays a “Check URL” button.

  • Clicking the button runs the scrpit.

  • A report is automatically generated showing record numbers, tested URLs, and status codes, making it easy to identify broken or unsupported links directly in Koha.
